Hier erfahren Sie, wie man Microsoft Windows Server auf einem Dedicated Server installieren kann.

1. Was muss ich tun, um Windows Server auf einem Dedicated Server nutzen zu können?

Wenn bereits ein Dedicated Server vorhanden ist, reichen Sie uns einfach eine Support-Anfrage über das KIS ein und beauftragen Sie die Installation von Microsoft Windows Server.

Wenn noch kein Dedicated Server vorhanden ist, wenden Sie sich einfach an den Support oder Vertrieb. Wir leiten die gemeinsame Bestellung des Servers mit Windows Server in die Wege. 

2. Welche Optionen gibt es und was kosten diese?

Wahlweise kann Windows Server 2016, 2019 oder 2022 installiert werden. Beides ist erhältlich für alle Ausbaustufen, ausgenommen Dedicated Server S. Für die kleinste Ausbaustufe ist leider kein Windows verfügbar.

(Alle nachfolgend genannten Beträge beinhalten 19% MwSt.)

Die Kosten für die Windows-Lizenz betragen:

• Bei Windows Server 2016: 60 EUR/mtl. zzgl. einmalig 100 EUR Einrichtungsgebühr
• Bei Windows Server 2019: 60 EUR/mtl. zzgl. einmalig 100 EUR Einrichtungsgebühr
• Bei Windows Server 2022 für Single CPU-Systeme: 40 EUR/mtl. zzgl. einmalig 100 EUR Einrichtungsgebühr
• Bei Windows Server 2022 für Dual CPU-Systeme: 70 EUR/mtl. zzgl. einmalig 100 EUR Einrichtungsgebühr

Die Einrichtungsgebühr fällt auch bei Neuinstallation wieder an.
Es handelt sich um die Lizenz jeweils um die "Standard Edition" des Betriebssystems.

Für Windows Server 2016 sind aktuell folgende Addons hinzubuchbar:

• Plesk (Preise je nach Lizenz zwischen 0 und 30 EUR pro Monat)
• Terminal Services (5er Paket mit "pro Benutzer"-Lizensierung, 30 EUR pro Monat zzgl. 50 EUR Setup)
• Microsoft Office 2016 Professional (5er Paket, 99,99 EUR pro Monat zzgl. 50 EUR Setup)
• Microsoft SQL Server 2012 Web Edition (7,50 EUR pro Monat pro 2 CPU-Cores, zzgl. 50 EUR Setup)
• Microsoft SQL Server 2014 Web Edition (10,00 EUR pro Monat pro 2 CPU-Cores, zzgl. 50 EUR Setup)
• Microsoft SQL Server 2016 Web Edition (99,99 EUR pro Monat pauschal, zzgl. 50 EUR Setup)

Für Windows Server 2019 und Windows Server 2022 sind aktuell folgende Addons hinzubuchbar:

• Plesk (Preise je nach Lizenz zwischen 0 und 30 EUR pro Monat)

3. Wie lange dauert die Installation der Lizenz?

Je nach Supportaufkommen können wir die gewünschten Lizenzen innerhalb weniger Stunden innerhalb der Bürozeiten zur Verfügung stellen.

4. Kann ich auch eine eigene Windows-Lizenz einsetzen?

Dies ist prinzipiell auch möglich. Wenden Sie sich in diesem Fall auch per Support-Anfrage an unseren Kundenservice.

Bitte beachten Sie dabei allerdings folgende Aspekte:

• Die Installation muss manuell durch unseren Service erfolgen, da kundenseitig keine KVM-Konsole zur Verfügung steht. Dafür berechnen wir einmalig 100 EUR.
• Sie müssen uns das passende Image per ISO-Datei zur Verfügung stellen. Im Bedarfsfall übermitteln wir Ihnen dann ein FTP-Konto, auf welches die Datei hochgeladen werden kann.
• Sie übernehmen als Kunde die volle Verantwortung für die korrekte Lizensierung des Systems.
• Eine Kombination mit unseren Addon-Lizenzen (MSSQL, MS Office, etc.) ist dann nicht mehr möglich. Nutzen Sie eine eigene Windows-Lizenz, so müssen Sie auch etwaige benötigte Zusatzlizenzen eigenständig beschaffen.

1. What is needed to get Windows Server installed on a Dedicated Server?

If you already have a Dedicated Server please send us a support request via KIS and ask for installation of Windows Server.

If you don't yet have a Dedicated Server please contact our support or sales department and ask for a Dedicated Server with Windows. We organize the installation right after setup of the server.  

2. Which options are available and what are the costs?

You may choose between Windows Server 2016 and Windows Server 2019. Both are available for all server packages except Dedicated Server S. Unfortunately Windows is not available for this smallest package.

(The following prices are including tax at 19%)

The costs for the Windows license are:

• For Windows Server 2016: 60 EUR/month plus one-time 100 EUR setup fee.
• For Windows Server 2019: 60 EUR/month plus one-time 100 EUR setup fee
• For Windows Server 2022 for Single CPU systems: 40 EUR/month plus one-time 100 EUR setup fee

3. How long does installation of the license take?

It takes a few hours during office hours depending on the current support capacities.

4. Is it possible to use my own Windows license?

In principle this is also possible. In this case, please contact our customer service via support request.

Please note the following aspects:

• The installation must be carried out manually by our service department, as no KVM console is available for the customer. For this we charge a one-time fee of 100 EUR.
• You must provide us with the appropriate image as an ISO file. If necessary, we will then provide you with an FTP account to which the file can be uploaded.
• As a customer you take full responsibility for the correct licensing of the system.
• A combination with our add-on licenses (MSSQL, MS Office, etc.) is no longer possible. If you use your own Windows license, you also have to bring your own addon licenses if necessary.
